Trauma & Abuse Therapy
Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT) addresses the effects of the trauma or abuse (whether it is in the conscious memory or subconscious) rather than focusing on details of an event, so there is no need to disclose any details of the traumatic event. Therefore, it allows clients to retain their privacy, dignity and to work comfortably.
It is a structured, systematic approach that creates lasting change rapidly and gently. It is a powerful versatile and evolving form of cognitive therapy, with a basic foundation in Transactional Analysis incorporating aspects of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). It is a ‘talking’ therapy using visualisations (you do not need to be able to visualise well).
PICT produces measureable results for a wide spectrum of issues:
- physical/emotional or sexual abuse
- food/drug/alcohol issues
Trauma, abuse and poor parenting leave a residue of limiting beliefs that negatively affect a person’s life. PICT can change this!
Thank you so much Karen. You are calm, positive and non-judgemental.A.J.
